The Many Adaptations of Jane Austen

 It is a truth universally acknowledged that Jane Austen's tales are frequently retold. Often these adaptations are just remakes of the original stories with a different cast and crew and updated technology. 

But sometimes people get creative. They twist and turn the stories to set them in a different time period or culture, maybe even a different universe (in which case...is it more than universally acknowledged? That might take some extra research. I'll try to get back to you on that one.)
